The clip editor
Adjust a clip generated by Clipping Omegle - the timeline, trimming, captions, zooms, sound effects, memes, dead air, then the new render.
Every clip produced by Clipping Omegle can be adjusted before export. The clip editor shows a multi-track timeline and a preview recomposed live: you trim, cut, fix a caption, move a zoom or an effect, then render the clip again. Nothing is burnt in until you apply.
Opening the editor
- In the Review step, under Generated clips, click Edit below the clip.
- The preview states where it stands: Final file · identical to the download while nothing has changed, then Changes not applied · preview recomposed live from the first adjustment.
- Back to the gallery closes the editor; your changes are kept (Saved) even without a new render.
The timeline
Below the preview, one track per kind of element: Video, Captions, Zooms, Sound effects, Memes, Censorship. Drag an item to move it, one of its edges to change its start or end; Esc cancels the gesture. Clicking a track's background sets the playhead, double-clicking an item opens its Element properties. The wheel scrolls, Ctrl or ⌘ + wheel zooms; Fit shows the whole video. Each track can be hidden or locked.
Shortcuts: Space play or pause, S cut here, Delete remove the selection, ← / → one frame, ⇧ ← / → one second, Ctrl+Z undo, Ctrl+Shift+Z redo.
Trimming and cutting
- Drag an edge of a Sequence on the Video track to trim it.
- Cut here (or S) splits the sequence under the playhead; Remove this sequence takes a passage out, Restore with the next one merges it back.
- Nothing is lost: the Passages removed by hand list restores each passage with one click. The clip's last sequence cannot be removed; trim it by its edges instead.
Removing a sequence touches neither the source, nor the captions, nor the other items: everything is recomputed. The preview skips the cuts without joining them; the exported file is joined, with its fades.
Captions
Select a Caption to change its Text, Move in time, pick its Speaker (the frame the speech comes from: Creator or Other person) and its Color (pitch). Hide this caption leaves it out of the render. Left empty, a caption follows the batch Position; moved, it keeps its own (Use the batch position reverts). Captions stay a track until rendering: fixing them needs no re-encode.
Zooms
A zoom is a full-screen close-up on one of the two people. Under Add at the playhead, click Zoom, then set the Person in frame, the Zoom strength (from 1.00, a still frame, to 1.12; beyond that a webcam's resolution no longer keeps up) and the framing: Recenter on the face, or drag the image directly. Entry and exit are hard cuts. During a close-up, captions are hidden.
Sound effects and memes
Sound effect adds a sound from the effects bank at the playhead; set its Volume (capped to stay under the voice), its Fade in and Fade out, or Duplicate it to reuse it. Meme places an image or a short excerpt over the video, shifting neither the sound nor the captions; its sound can be muted (Mute its sound). An ending meme stays appended after the clip's last frame.
Censorship and dead air
On the Censorship track, each detected sensitive word shows its rule and its confidence. You can change the Censorship effect, flag a False detection, go Back to a bleep or Remove the passage. Dead air removed automatically shows up as cuts on the Video track; as soon as you cut by hand, the automatic dead-air check is set aside for this clip.
Applying and rendering again
Click Apply and render this clip again. The video service rebuilds the file with your adjustments; the preview switches to the new file at the end. This new render costs no credit: clip renders are included in the analysis. Until you have rendered again, the downloaded archive holds the previous version, and the export reminds you of it.
