Manage your plan and your credits

Read your balance, pick a monthly or yearly plan, buy the 100-credit pack, open the Stripe portal and make sense of the activity log.

Everything happens on the Studio's Credits & plan page: your balance, the plans, the top-up pack, what each tool costs and the activity log. This tutorial walks through it from top to bottom.

Before you start

  • A Clipfer account, signed in. At sign-up it receives 10 free credits, 5 GB of storage and 30 min of transcription per month.
  • A bank card: payment goes through Stripe, online, with no commitment.
  • The gist of the rates: 1 credit per minute of output video (started minute, 2-second allowance) for the Metadata Editor (per version), Auto captions, Silence Remover and the Text Overlay render; 1 credit per text type for the Text Overlay analysis; 2 to 6 credits per analysed minute for Clipping Omegle, depending on the model.

Steps

  1. Open the account menu, then Credits & plan. The credits indicator in the Studio header leads there too.
  2. Read "My balance": "Trial plan", "Creator plan"… then Available credits, usable in every tool. The Subscription credits show "N of 150" and "Valid until …, then renewed"; the Packs and trial credits "Never expire". Subscription credits are used first, then pack credits.
  3. Under "Choose a plan", compare Creator (€19/month, 150 credits, 50 GB, 300 min of transcription), Pro (€49/month, 500 credits, 100 GB, 1,000 min) and Agency (€149/month, 2,000 credits, 250 GB, 4,000 min). Each plan also comes yearly, with 25% off (€171, €441 or €1,341 per year); the site's pricing page shows both prices.
  4. Click Choose under the plan you want. The page says "Redirecting to checkout…" and opens the Stripe checkout page. Pay by card, then come back: "Payment received, thank you!" appears and the balance updates within a few seconds. If you give up, "Payment cancelled" confirms nothing was charged.
  5. For a one-off top-up, click Buy a pack under "Top-up pack": 100 credits for €15, paid once, that never expire. The pack adds to your plan or works without a subscription.
  6. To change plan, switch from monthly to yearly, update your card, download an invoice or cancel, click Manage my subscription: the Stripe portal opens. After a cancellation, your credits stay valid until the end of the paid period.
  7. Check "What each tool costs": the exact rates, and what is free (photos, previews, Clipping clip renders, transcription within the monthly limit).
  8. Read the "Recent activity" log. Every line has a kind: "Trial credits", "Creator subscription", "Top-up pack", a Spent line named after the tool, a Refund ("Refunded · Auto captions") or an "Adjustment". A refund shows up on its own when a render fails, a model refuses or an analysis suggests nothing; there is nothing to ask for.

Expected result

You can read your balance and where it comes from, you have an active plan or a pack, and you know where to change your card or cancel. Before every run, the tool shows "Cost: …" with your balance; if credits are missing, it says so before launching and nothing is charged. Unused subscription credits do not roll over from one month to the next; pack and trial credits never expire.
